This kit has been repleased in sevreal versions, including lighted and cutaway. Not sure when it was first released, but mine is stamped 1988.
My kit was orginally the lighted version, as the battery box is still included. it is showing it age, the sprue gates are huge and fit is poor.

The kit depicts the Falcon as she appeared in episode IV: Star Wars A New Hope, with 3 landing legs and round communication dish.
It is also available in the later 5 leg, square dish version.
